Dr. Murty Munn is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity care. A Pennsylvania native, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in hand surgery at the Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center.

Dr. Munn combines precision, creativity, and problem-solving to help patients restore mobility and return to the activities they enjoy. His areas of expertise include elbow, forearm, hand, and wrist surgery, upper extremity reconstruction, and orthopedic trauma care. He approaches each patient with the same care and focus he would give to a family member, ensuring that they understand their options and feel confident in their treatment plan. His goal is to restore both function and quality of life for his patients. For Dr. Munn, the most rewarding part of his work is seeing patients regain independence, whether it’s gripping a golf club, writing with a pen, or hugging a loved one.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Munn enjoys playing golf, skiing, sports, and spending time with his family.
