Gregory Tocks D.O. and Hope Weber, PA-C - TAHFT Clinical Trial

Congratulations to OAL's Dr. Gregory Tocks and Physician Assistant, Hope Weber and team for getting halfway towards their goal of enrolling 400 participants in an important clinical trial. The TAHFT study is looking at the impact of giving tranexamic acid (TXA)--a medication that controls bleeding and the potential need for blood transfusion--to geriatric patients prior to hip fracture surgery. This trial continued at Lancaster General Hospital's Orthopedic Center throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
